Borja Dañobeitia Paúl was born in 1979 in Palma de Mallorca (Spain). In 2000 he graduated in Telematics Engineering from the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB, Spain). In 2004 he received the Engineer of Telecommunication degree from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC, Spain).

From 2005 to 2007 he worked as a radio access engineer in Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN, Spain) providing engineering support during implementation phase in projects for 3G RAN deployment (Telefónica Móviles and Orange).

Since January 2008 he is a PhD Student (under grant of Balearic's Government) in the Mobile Group Communications of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of the UIB. His current research interests are wireless communication systems, with particular emphasis on cross-layer designs and radio resource allocation schemes.

Personal/Hobbies

Borja is basketball coach in Club Baloncesto La Salle de Palma where he began as a player when he was a child. He also enjoys traveling abroad, sailing, reading books and spending time with family and friends. 

He has also worked on other projects like Wireless DNA.
